Lifting the Lid on Lobbying in Bulgaria

Transparency over EU decision-making, light over the influence of various actors in EU policy negotiations, the role of citizens in the EU integration process. These were the main topics of the one of a kind Transparency Camp that took place in Amsterdam in June 2016. The initiative of the Dutch Presidency of the EU aims to foster a broader public debate on the problems of the democratic deficits and lack of sufficient transparency in EU democracy.

Participants from various EU member states discussed open budgets, the Panama Papers and apps that create a tighter link between citizens and institutions.
